Meet the engineer.

I'm Christopher Malinowski, PE — founder and principal of Malinowski Engineering Consulting. I'm a licensed Fire Protection Professional Engineer with more than a decade of experience in fire protection and life safety engineering, and I lead every engagement personally.

My mission is straightforward: deliver tailored, code-compliant solutions that safeguard lives, protect property, and give owners genuine peace of mind. I take a hands-on, detail-oriented approach to every project — whether it is a commercial build-out, an industrial facility, a high-rise residential tower, or an institutional campus.

I hold both a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, and I am licensed to practice in New Jersey, New York, and Virginia. Over more than a decade — including engineering roles at Amtrak, WMATA, AECOM, and Mott MacDonald — I have designed fire protection and life safety systems for commercial, institutional, and high-rise residential developments alongside major transit and infrastructure programs.

When you work with me, you are not handed off to an intake desk or an account manager — you get the engineer, from the first sketch to the final inspection. I value clear communication, practical solutions, and long-term relationships with owners, architects, contractors, and the authorities having jurisdiction.
